With Martina Sagmeister
Liberation and awareness through movement with music and joy. Martina Sagmeister has a very sensitive and loving way to guide you to experience your body and inner sensations. she worked for 30 years in the university of music and performing arts of Vienna.
Teacher: Martina Sagmeister is a retired professor at the Max Reinhardt Seminar at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna for 30 years and at the University Sports Institute of Vienna. Founder and choreographer of the "Vienna Dance Project". Performance and seminar activities at home and abroad.
After her studies (sports, history) in 1981, Martina went to New York where she was immersed in the world of dance - a beautiful and tough time. Since then she just danced, did choreography and teaching. "For me dancing is life, feeling vitality. As a dancer, I loved to be absorbed in the moment, to be in the music and the space, and to feel the energy of the audience - the fascination triggers something and the desire to be 100%."
Since 1986, she does choreography. The people with whom she works, the music and the themes that touch her and bring something that moves her. Again and again it is the humor, this original life energy that bursts forth in her pieces. Martina makes dance theater using different artistic style means. Her pieces are critical, political, humorous and positive with clearly cognizant statement.
As an educator, she works with a variety of professional and age groups. It is important for her to work in positive energy. To have the joy of movement, learn without fear and try to be able to be allowed to make mistakes - yes, must recognise our own limitations and seek to expand, to have courage to be in the moment.
